Furever Pawradise is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to achieve these goals. This accessibility statement outlines our commitment to and progress in ensuring that our digital platforms are inclusive and accessible to all, in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

Our Commitment

At Furever Pawradise, we are dedicated to treating all individuals in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence. We believe in integration and equal opportunity and are committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner. We will do so by preventing and removing barriers to accessibility and meeting accessibility requirements under the AODA.

 

This commitment extends to all aspects of our organization, including our website and digital content, our customer service policies, and our employment practices.

What web accessibility is

An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can be achieved with the capabilities of the system on which the site is operating, and through assistive technologies.

Accessibility Standards and Conformance

Our goal is for our website, fureverpawradiseto.ca, to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA, the international standard for web accessibility. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user-friendly for all people.
 
Our website has been built to be compatible with modern browsers and assistive technologies. We are actively working to ensure that our website and digital content are:

Upon request, Furever Pawradise will provide or arrange for the provision of accessible formats and communication supports for persons with disabilities in a timely manner that takes into account the person’s accessibility needs due to disability.

Multi-Year Accessibility Plan

Furever Pawradise has developed and will maintain a multi-year accessibility plan that outlines the actions we will take to prevent and remove barriers to accessibility. This plan will be reviewed and updated at least once every five years. Our current accessibility plan is available upon request.

Training for Staff

Furever Pawradise provides training to employees, volunteers, and other staff members on Ontario’s accessibility laws and on the Human Rights Code as it relates to people with disabilities. Training will be provided in a way that best suits the duties of the employees, volunteers, and other staff members.
