Welcome to Furever Pawradise!

We are thrilled to have you join our celebration of creativity, community, and all things anthropomorphic. Our goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and vibrant space where everyone can comfortably express themselves and their passion for the fandom. This guide helps ensure a positive experience for all attendees.

1.0 A Community of Respect: Best Judgment in a Public Venue

Furever Pawradise is made possible by our partnership with our venue partner and the trust of the general public. By attending, we all accept the shared responsibility of representing our community in a positive light.

  • Respect for Our Venue: Please be mindful that we are guests. Treat the venue's property, its staff, and any non-event patrons with courtesy and respect. Keep public areas like lobbies, hallways, and elevators clear, be mindful of your volume, and help us keep the space clean.

  • Respect for Each Other: Our community thrives on mutual respect. We welcome diverse expressions of identity, but this freedom comes with the responsibility to be considerate of the comfort, safety, and boundaries of your fellow attendees. Please use your best judgment in all interactions and attire choices. If you question whether something is appropriate, it is best to err on the side of caution.

2.0 Costume & Fursuit Guidelines

We love seeing your characters come to life! Fursuits, partials, and other costumes are highly encouraged. To ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment, please adhere to the following:

  • Consent is Mandatory: Always ask for permission before touching another attendee, their costume, or their props. "Ask before you hug" is our golden rule. Remember, costume does not equal consent.

  • Suiter Safety:

    • Stay Hydrated: Fursuiting is physically demanding. Drink plenty of water.

    • Take Breaks: Listen to your body. Utilize designated "headless zones" or quiet areas to cool down.

    • Use a Handler: We strongly recommend having a friend act as a handler to help you navigate, communicate, and stay safe.

  • Awareness: Attendees should be mindful that performers in full costumes have limited vision and hearing. Please be patient and give them space.

  • Identification: For security purposes, you must be able to identify yourself to event staff or security upon request. This may require you to remove your costume head in a private area.

3.0 General Attire (Out of Costume)

When not in costume, the dress code is casual and comfortable. T-shirts, jeans, shorts, and everyday wear are perfectly fine. Please observe the following general rules, noting the modifications for evening hours.

  • Clothing is Required: Attire that covers, at minimum, the upper and lower body is required in all public event spaces.

  • Footwear is Mandatory: For your safety, appropriate footwear must be worn at all times.

  • Public Appropriateness: During daytime hours, overtly sexual or fetishistic gear is not permitted in main event spaces. (Please see Section 3.1 for our after-hours policy).

3.1 After 9 PM: Nocturnal Attire Policy

As the sun sets, Furever Pawradise transitions into a more mature and expressive environment. After 9:00 PM each evening, our attire policy becomes more relaxed, guided by the following principles:

  • Expressive Gear Permitted: We welcome a broader range of creative expression. This includes kink and fetish-style gear such as body harnesses, collars and chokers, pup hoods and other non-enclosing character masks, decorative muzzles, leather/rubber bracers, and chains. This list is not exhaustive but provides a clear sense of what is welcome.

  • Coverage Rules Remain in Effect: This policy is not "clothing optional." Your attire must always cover your private areas in a manner compliant with public decency standards (think swimwear as a minimum baseline).

  • Leash & Lead Protocol: For the safety of all attendees, any leashes or leads worn as part of an outfit must be "self-contained." The leash must be held by the person wearing it or be safely attached to their own outfit. Another person may not hold the lead. This rule is strictly enforced to prevent tripping hazards.

  • Respect & Responsibility: The spirit of this policy is to balance freedom of expression with communal responsibility. Consent and respect are paramount, regardless of what you or others are wearing. Remember, costume does not equal consent.

4.0 Prohibited Items & Imagery

To ensure a safe and inclusive environment, the following are strictly prohibited at all times:

  • Clothing, signs, or symbols that promote hate speech or are associated with hate groups.

  • Realistic-looking weapons of any kind. Prop weapons must be obviously fake and are subject to inspection by event security ("peace-bonding").

  • Any other items deemed illegal under local, provincial, or federal law.

5.0 Photography & Videography

5.1 Attendee-to-Attendee Courtesy

Please be respectful when taking photos or videos of others. Always ask for permission first.

5.2 Official Media & "No Media" Opt-Out

Furever Pawradise has an official media team to capture the event for promotional purposes. However, we respect our attendees' privacy.

  • Opt-Out Procedure: An option to opt-out of being a primary subject in official event photography and videography will be available on the registration page.

  • Special Badge: Attendees who select this option will receive a specially marked badge or lanyard at check-in. Our official media team is instructed to make every reasonable effort to avoid filming or photographing individuals with this marker.

  • Disclaimer: Please be aware that in crowded public areas or during large stage events, incidental inclusion in the background of wide shots may be unavoidable. The "No Media" marker applies only to official event media and does not prevent photos from being taken by other attendees (subject to the consent rule in 5.1).

6.0 Policy Enforcement

Furever Pawradise staff and security are dedicated to enforcing these policies.

Failure to comply with this guide may result in actions up to and including removal from the event without a refund. Depending on the severity of the violation, removal from the event may be accompanied by a temporary or permanent ban from all future Furever Pawradise events. Event staff have the final say on all interpretations of the rules.

Thank you for your cooperation in making Furever Pawradise a fun, respectful, and unforgettable experience!
