About the Role
The Oversight Auditor provides independent oversight of the organization's controls and processes. This role serves to enhance financial transparency and accountability, ensuring that the organization's practices are sound and align with established policies. The Oversight Auditor periodically reviews procedures and reports their findings directly to the Board of Directors, reinforcing the core value of Integrity & Trust. This is a non-voting, advisory position.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Conduct periodic internal reviews of the organization's procedures and internal controls.
Examine records and processes to ensure they align with Board-approved policies.
Prepare and present findings and recommendations for improvement to the Board of Directors.
Provide advice on best practices for controls and risk mitigation.
Work with the Executive Team to ensure the organization is prepared for any external review or audit.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Independence & Objectivity: Ability to conduct reviews with complete impartiality and objectivity.
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to an audience.
Beneficial Skills
Experience auditing non-profit organizations.
Knowledge of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO).
