
About the Role
The Risk Management and Personnel Team Leader manages a shift at the Volunteer Services desk. They lead a small team responsible for checking volunteers in for their shifts, distributing staff materials, answering questions, and ensuring a smooth flow of operations at this critical internal hub. They are a knowledgeable and helpful guide for their fellow staff members.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Lead and motivate a small team staffing the Volunteer Services desk.
Provide clear instructions on check-in procedures, information lookup, and proper documentation.
Answer questions from other staff members about policies, schedules, or locations.
Communicate any issues, such as a volunteer no-show, to the Supervisor immediately.
Ensure the desk and surrounding area remain organized and professional.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Leadership Potential: Ability to guide and organize peers effectively.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous about procedures and ensuring information is accurate.
Reliability: Punctual and accountable for the smooth operation of the desk during their shift.
Helpful Attitude: A genuine desire to support their fellow volunteers.
Beneficial Skills
Experience as a receptionist or administrative assistant.
Familiarity with using spreadsheets or databases to look up information.
