About the Role
The Technical Infrastructure Team Leader guides a small crew on a specific technical task. They might lead the team running cables and setting up projectors in panel rooms, a helpdesk team focused on solving staff IT tickets during a specific shift, or the team responsible for distributing and collecting radios at the start and end of the day. They provide clear, technical direction to keep their team focused and efficient.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Lead and motivate a small team of technical volunteers.
Provide clear, step-by-step instructions for tasks like equipment setup or troubleshooting procedures.
Communicate the status of tasks and any persistent technical issues to the Supervisor.
Ensure the team follows all technical and safety best practices.
Manage the workflow for their team, such as a queue of IT support tickets.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Leadership Potential: Ability to guide and mentor technically-minded peers.
Technical Skill: Solid personal skill in the team's area of focus (e.g., proficient in A/V setup).
Process-Oriented: Follows procedures meticulously and ensures the team does as well.
Reliability: Dependable and committed to resolving technical issues correctly.
Beneficial Skills
Experience working at a helpdesk or as an A/V technician.
A passion for teaching and sharing technical knowledge
